I became a professional photographer and started Cassandra’s Photography over 20 years ago as my way of making sure families and high school seniors have beautiful, artistic, photos to remind them of the best times in their life – like a souvenir. Photos that never go out of style; photos that will bring you back to a special moment in time when you, and those you love – and those who love you – view them.
My mission is to make sure you feel comfortable in front of the camera, that you don’t feel awkward or unnatural, because I want your personality to shine through. That with my skilled posing and lighting, you’ll love the photos of yourself, and your loved ones. And I want to make sure those photographs aren’t lost when you upgrade your cell phone, or when a hard drive fails, or to depend on a mysterious ‘cloud’ to view your photos.
Meet Cassandra
Getting in front of a camera can be a daunting experience. Personally, I have all types of feelings when a camera that I’m not holding comes near me. I feel awkward, stiff, unnatural. I freeze up. I feel weird smiling on cue. And I am super critical of what I look like.
But I know how important it is to BE in photos. It’s not about me – it’s about those who love me. My granddaughter was looking at her family’s photo on the wall and telling me how much she loves it, then she remarked, “I wish you were in it, too, grandma.” (I was the one taking the photo, by the way.)
